About the Workplace At Dialog DV, we offer support and services to adults who have been granted daily activities services under the LSS (Act on Special Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). Daily activities as established by LSS also follow regulations under the Social Services Act and Health and Medical Services Act. However, daily activities is much more than that—we see our mission as being representative, raising awareness and consciousness in the community around us. We aim to further develop prevailing norms and values regarding how to define, interpret, and apply "disability" and "functional variation" as concepts. Currently, we have two units and approximately 17 staff members in various roles. Our units specialize in different activities with work-like engagement in Dance, Music, Theater, Aesthetics, Nature & Health, and Media. We welcome your application! Job Description You will serve as a support assistant and activities coordinator with a detailed job description as part of your employment agreement. As a support assistant with us, you will work to enable individuals to live as independently as possible. You will do this by providing necessary and desired support and services through meaningful activities and engagement. As the Media activities coordinator, you will be responsible for building, developing, implementing, evaluating, and advancing the media activities. Your role will include being a driving force and coordinator in creating and designing activities based on participants' interests and needs. You will collaborate with both internal and external contacts and therefore need strong collaboration skills. Working with people with various intellectual disabilities is broad, varied, and challenging work that places significant demands on commitment, empathy, communication, collaboration, and resilience. You will be an extended arm in our participants' daily lives—supporting them in various activities, with personal hygiene, assisting at mealtimes, and ensuring medication is taken as needed. This work is physically demanding; therefore, you must have full physical capacity and mobility. As an employer, we believe it's important that you take care of yourself, so as an employee you will receive a wellness allowance of 2,500 kronor per year. We work with great respect for participants' integrity and design support and services accordingly. You will follow each participant's individual care plan to ensure they receive the best possible support and services. Work is planned, documented, and carefully monitored, so it's important that you feel confident with documentation. Qualifications We seek someone with a genuine interest in working with people, meeting each individual based on their unique needs and wishes. You are confident, have the ability to be empathetic and read our participants' needs, and are comfortable working with people who require continuity and structure. To move forward in the process, you must have: strong knowledge and experience in IT and Media the ability to teach and share your knowledge in a pedagogical way strong Swedish language skills, both written and spoken. The following are advantageous but NOT REQUIRED: · completed vocational upper secondary school (GY 11) in Health and Social Care with specialization in disability services or psychiatry, or · completed equivalent education that the employer considers equivalent to the above upper secondary qualification · experience working within LSS · experience working with people with cognitive disabilities · experience developing and leading activities at daily activity services within LSS Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
