What does the role entail? You'll enjoy a varied daily routine where ramp work is a major part of the role. You'll be responsible for loading and unloading baggage and cargo, providing services to airlines, and contributing to smooth and safe flight operations. Together with colleagues and other airport stakeholders, you'll work toward efficient and punctual aircraft turnarounds.
Beyond ramp work, you'll also have the opportunity to work in security screening, where you'll professionally and welcomingly check passengers, staff, and baggage to help maintain a safe airport environment. Over time, you'll also have the opportunity to train as an airport firefighter, becoming part of the airport's rescue organization.
We're looking for someone interested in working full-time with us. Part-time work at 80% is also possible. The position begins with basic training and involves varying shift work, including early mornings, late evenings, and regular weekend work.
Who are you? Your personal qualities are important to us. We're looking for someone who is service-oriented, attentive, and able to create good interactions with travelers, customers, and colleagues. You collaborate well with others and have a flexible approach when conditions change or unexpected situations arise. Since the work is sometimes characterized by a fast pace and close collaboration between different functions, you thrive in a dynamic environment where variation, flexibility, and quick adjustments are a natural part of your day.
We're looking for:
• Upper secondary education
• Good physical ability to perform heavy work, as the job includes heavy lifting of baggage in aircraft's tight cargo holds
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing
• Normal vision and hearing (with any necessary aids and corrections)
• Category B driver's license
Meritorious if you have:
• Other language skills
• Several years of work experience, preferably from the service sector or security work
• Category C driver's license, forklift certification, or experience operating wheel loaders
