Job Responsibilities
You will work at a workplace with good camaraderie and varied tasks. About 10–15 employees and contractors work together at the facility. The team is responsible for operating the Tagene depot.
The job tasks can include both practical and administrative aspects. Examples of job responsibilities include operating our weighing system, monitoring and managing facility operations, and using various types of work machinery to handle materials. You will be part of several processes, where each step is like a cog in a chain.
Facility operations include:
- Service and information for visiting customers and contractors.
- Operation of new, modern treatment plant.
- Conducting measurements and sampling of, for example, water and waste.
- Checks of incoming and outgoing materials.
- Maintenance and upkeep work on our outdoor and indoor facility areas.
- Daily rounds and addressing any discovered errors or deficiencies.
- Administrative work, such as follow-up, reporting, and ordering, as well as staffing the weighing station for inbound and outbound weighing.
The facility receives both internal and external customers, as well as national and international clients. We work with an approach we call participatory improvement work. This means you participate in developing the facility's operations through active improvement initiatives.
The facility's operating hours are weekdays during daytime but may occasionally include evenings and weekends.
Tagene waste facility is part of the Recycling business area within Renova Miljö AB. Waste that cannot be recycled or treated in other ways is deposited at Tagene depot pending future recycling methods.
Qualifications
You need:
- Secondary school education or equivalent professional experience.
- IT knowledge.
- Class B driver's license is required for this position.
- Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, plus basic English, spoken.
It's beneficial (a merit) if you:
- Speak additional languages.
- Have experience working at waste facilities or similar jobs.
Important to us at Renova is that you are responsible, thorough, and quality-conscious. You have an interest in technology and mechanics. Good collaboration skills, driven, positive, and take own initiative. You have good social competence and maintain a high level of service towards customers and colleagues. Of course, you have an interest in environmental issues!
