Vårsta Diakoni's conversation support reception in Umeå is seeking an employee for the Trust & Transformation project, trauma-informed work with young people. Vårsta Diakoni is now seeking an employee for the Trust & Transformation project – a three-year heritage fund project aimed at young people aged 12–25 who are in or near criminality, violence, mental health issues and social vulnerability. The project combines: trauma-focused individual conversations, group interventions, community dialogue, creative and relational working methods, collaboration with civil society and local communities. About the Position The main focus of the position is to conduct individual conversations and group meetings with young participants based on a trauma-informed approach. Duties In this position, you will primarily: conduct individual support conversations and trauma-focused conversations, work with Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET/FORNET) or related trauma-informed methods, contribute to safe, flexible and creative work, map needs and follow up on participants' development, collaborate with the project team and external actors, document and participate in follow-up and evaluation, The work may also include: participation in group activities, follow-up conversations and community dialogue, workshops and collaboration meetings. We are Looking for You Who have relevant higher education within, for example, social work programs, psychology, behavioral science or other education that the employer considers equivalent have at least five years of work experience have experience working with young people in vulnerable situations have the ability to build trust and relationships and can meet individuals' unique needs have knowledge of trauma, mental health issues and violence-related problems are confident, flexible and can work even in complex situations have good collaboration skills but can also work independently can express yourself well in speech and writing and work digitally Requirements The position requires knowledge of working under confidentiality and with respect for individuals' specific needs. It is meritorious for the position if you have: training in NET/FORNET or other trauma-focused method, experience working with criminality or violence prevention, experience with group activities, experience with NPF-adapted work, experience of collaboration between civil society and public sector, multilingualism and experience of working in multicultural environments.
