The Technical Division consists of five operational areas: Streets/Parks/Harbour, Nyköping Water, Waste Management, Municipal Properties and Meal Services. These are supported by a project unit, an economics unit and an administrative staff. The Division has an annual turnover of approximately 1.5 billion SEK, active investments of approximately 2 billion SEK and over 400 permanent employees, with the division turning over just over 1 billion SEK. Our clients are the Municipal Executive Board, the Environment and Community Development Committee and the Culture and Leisure Committee.
The Service Unit is the Technical Division's latest addition with a focus on sustainability, service and development of people in labour market initiatives. The unit is responsible for furniture reuse, bicycle service and repair, internal services and certain maintenance tasks primarily within park management, and will also be responsible for the new recycling centre Nyäng, which is expected to be completed at the end of the year. The goal is to advance the municipality's positions in sustainability work. To achieve ecologically, socially and economically sustainable societal development in accordance with Agenda 2030.
The Service Unit is now seeking 1-3 service-oriented and committed employees for the new recycling centre Nyäng, who want to help and guide our customers so that we together reach the goals of increased sorting rate and reduced waste volumes.

WORK TASKS
As an employee at the recycling centre, you work with service, operations and environmental management. The role is varied and combines customer contact with practical work. An important part of the work is to guide customers on how to sort their waste and to help keep the facility clean and well-maintained.
The work is mainly conducted outdoors and takes place according to schedule, which means work in the evenings and on weekends.
At the recycling centre, private individuals and companies can dispose of waste that does not constitute household waste. The waste is sorted into different fractions at the facility. Customer service is a central part of the work, as is creating good conditions for it to be easy and smooth for customers to sort correctly.
The operation faces several important development areas, including commissioning the new centre, developing and increasing collection for reuse, and ensuring environmentally safe and correct handling of hazardous waste.

QUALIFICATIONS
You who apply should have:
• Upper secondary education, preferably with a technical, environmental or societal focus
• Basic computer skills
• Category B driving licence
• Wheel loader certification
It is advantageous if you have:
• Previous experience from service, customer service and some practical work such as work at a recycling centre, warehouse, logistics, industry or operation/maintenance of facilities.
• Interest/knowledge of waste sorting, material handling, recycling and reuse.
• Interest/knowledge of hazardous waste (HW) handling and relevant legislation.
• Experience meeting and guiding customers/visitors.
• Experience handling conflicts or other difficult customer situations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Working hours: The role includes responsibility during the recycling centre's opening hours, which means daytime work as well as scheduled evening and weekend shifts.
