Duroc Rail is seeking a professional to work with repair and maintenance of locomotive and specialty wheels at our locomotive department. Do you enjoy physical work and have experience in mechanics? About the Position As a wheel technician at the locomotive department, you will work in a small team maintaining and repairing locomotive wheels. You will work through the entire maintenance process of wheel sets, including assembly and disassembly of wheel discs, repair of drive units, and bearing inspection. The work involves a mix of heavy mechanics in new and modern facilities. You will collaborate with other wheel technicians in your area to achieve common goals, but independent drive as well as interest and knowledge in mechanics are fundamental to succeeding in the role of wheel technician at our locomotive department. About You Requirements for the position: Completed upper secondary education, preferably in industrial technology or similar At least two years of experience working with similar maintenance or heavy mechanics in a workshop environment Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing The work will require good physical fitness and you must meet statutory health requirements for the railway industry. In your work you are: Thorough and quality-conscious A team player with good collaboration skills Self-driven and moving your work forward About the Employment The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probation period.
