As a measurement engineer, you will have a key role where you not only work operatively with measurements but also have the opportunity to build up the company's internal measurement technology operations. Today the service is sourced externally, but the ambition is to gradually build up the expertise internally.
In the long term, the role will organizationally belong to the quality department and be responsible for developing processes, automating measurements, and establishing an internal measurement technology function.
The role involves close collaboration with both quality and production.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Measure components against drawing specifications using laser measurement equipment.
Ensure that all measurements are documented correctly.
Interpret drawings and form and positional tolerances.
Plan how measurements should be performed and identify relevant references.
Develop measurement strategies and measurement reports.
Work with automation of measurement processes.
Establish methods, processes, and routines for internal measurement operations.
Gradually replace the external supplier.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
Have a relevant educational background from a university or technical college
Have several years of experience with similar work
Have strong knowledge of measurement technology and drawing reading
Have knowledge of form and positional tolerances
Have experience with coordinate measuring machines and laser measurement equipment
Have experience working with measurement programs such as PC-DMIS, PolyWorks, Inspire, and Spatial Analyzer.
Have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Further, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability in the recruitment process. To succeed in this role, you need to be a highly self-driven person who can translate requirements into functional methods and processes. There is currently limited expertise in this area within the company, which means you need to be comfortable working independently and not be afraid to take own initiative.
