F 16 is responsible for Uppsala Garrison and the operation of Uppsala Airport. The Squadron is also responsible for surveillance of Swedish airspace 24/7, 365 days a year, and leads the Air Force's fighter aircraft in the air. You will be part of a military organization undergoing major change and development due to the international situation and Sweden's NATO membership. About the Unit 1621st Air Base Company is part of 162nd Air Base Battalion and belongs to F 16, Uppland Air Squadron. The Company's tasks consist of airport operations in the form of field maintenance, rescue services, and operation and maintenance of technical systems. The Company performs clearance services for fighter aircraft and ramp services for transport aircraft and helicopters. The Company also has air terminal capability, which is a strategic resource in the Swedish Armed Forces. As a Materials Administrator, you will be part of 121st CNS Platoon. The Platoon is responsible, among other things, for the operation of the airport's technical systems for air traffic control. The tasks that the Platoon performs are mainly operation and maintenance measures on flight safety-critical systems. The position involves continuous training and development. The job requires good physical condition and there is an opportunity for exercise during working hours. The Platoon consists of a mix of people with extensive experience and a great desire to deliver results and are happy to share their experience. Main Responsibilities As a Materials Administrator at 121st CNS Platoon, your main task will be to support with administration of the Platoon's materials and vehicles. A large part of the work will consist of administering spare parts, replacement units, and equipment used for maintenance of airport systems. You are part of the function that keeps the technical infrastructure operational, which is a prerequisite for operating from Uppsala Airport. You also contribute to maintaining flight safety at the airport through the measures carried out on technical systems. The work consists of ensuring the availability of materials and equipment used to carry out maintenance on, among other things, power supply, airport lighting systems, landing aids, IT systems, telephony, networks, and radio equipment. The equipment that the work is performed on is exclusively in live operation and flight safety-critical.
