Forest Machine Operator About the position Working as a forest machine operator at Sveaskog in the Central Sweden Region means an exciting and responsible job alongside skilled and driven colleagues. You will work towards goals regarding quality, follow-up, production, environment and nature conservation. You work in a local team where communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing are key words. We are looking for someone who is driven in their work and has a genuine interest in machines and their maintenance. Quality in executed work is of great importance. You will be part of a self-managing team consisting of three machine operators working in shifts, where your role is to operate forest machinery in regeneration felling and thinning. The position includes areas of responsibility that can to some extent be adapted to your competence and strengths. Examples of areas of responsibility can be machine maintenance, final reports, economics or delimbing etc. You will have local contact with contractors, machine workshops, forest planners with area responsibility and road contractors. The machine team operates in the production area of Ljusdal. Suitable residential areas: Ljusdal, Färila, Los, Kårböle, Ramsjö, Järvsö. About you You have a secondary level forestry education or equivalent knowledge. Experience in machine operation is a requirement. For increased flexibility within the team, it is an advantage if you are proficient with both skidders and harvesters, but it is not a requirement. A large part of the work is digital, which is why computer skills are an important part of the job. A B driving license is a requirement. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
