We are now recruiting a machine operator for the production area of Älvsbyn in Norrbotten.
About the Job
As a forest machine operator, you work toward goals regarding quality, monitoring, production, environment, and nature conservation. You are an important part of an entire chain where high standards of precision and accountability are required. At Sveaskog, we view all our roles as equally important in the chain, and we work to make each other better.
You will be part of a self-managed work team consisting of 4 machine operators working in shifts with a primary focus on final harvesting, though thinning may also occur. The position includes responsibilities that can be adapted to some extent based on your competence and strengths. You will have local contact with production managers and forestry contractors, among others.
The work area is primarily Älvsbyn, but variations occur, and you report to the entrepreneur managing our own crews.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys their work and has a genuine interest in the forest, machinery, service, and maintenance. We value flexibility and your willingness to operate both harvesters and forwarders. You're not hesitant about using IT equipment and view administration as part of your job. You are interested in and take great responsibility for work that supports the forest's various values such as production, management, and nature conservation.
You have upper secondary forest education or equivalent acquired knowledge. A large portion of the work is performed digitally, so knowledge of working in IT systems is an important part of the role. A Class B driver's license is required.
