The main focus of the role is to operate our stationary shear, a machine used to process and cut metal material for further recycling. About the role As a machine operator, you will operate our stationary shear, a central part of our production where material is processed and prepared for recycling. You load the shear's container with the correct material type based on article and recipient, and perform ongoing service/maintenance while ensuring that work is carried out according to our routines and quality requirements. You plan the production in the shear yourself in consultation with the production manager and have significant influence over how the machine is operated to achieve the best possible results. You will also be involved in improving routines and working methods in production and driving our safety work forward, including performing risk checks on the shear every day. At the Skövde facility, we receive and handle several different types of materials that are then recycled and go on to new applications. Although your main focus is on the shear, you are part of the daily operations at the facility and support other work tasks in the yard as needed. For example, you may operate a wheel loader or material handler. You will become part of a small and tight-knit team where we help each other, share knowledge, and together find smart solutions in our daily work. Working hours are Monday to Friday 07.00-16.00. Qualifications You need to have Category B driver's license Upper secondary education Good Swedish in speech and writing Experience from practical work Meritorious Experience from agriculture/forestry, contracting, or the recycling industry Foreman certification for excavator Experience in gas cutting Experience in maintenance Who are you?
