The State Social Care Center "Zemgale" is Latvia's largest provider of state-funded long-term social care and social rehabilitation services! We are inviting a Nursing Assistant to work at the "Ropaži" branch (for an indefinite period, 0.5 full-time position)
Position Purpose: To ensure quality client care under nursing supervision at the branch.
Requirements for candidates:
Secondary professional or first-level professional higher education;
State language proficiency at B1 level;
Registration in the Medical Professionals Register; nursing assistant qualification;
Good interpersonal and communication skills, client-oriented approach, and focus on positive work results.
Valid electronic signature.
Main Responsibilities:
Assess clients' health status, identify their self-care level, problems, and possible interventions;
Train clients to perform complex care procedures (skills in assessing their health, maintaining personal hygiene, etc.);
Assist clients in performing necessary hygiene procedures according to care levels (washing, oral hygiene, teeth, ear, and nose care procedures);
Participate in preparing clients for medical and psychological treatment, rehabilitation, and development;
Develop and improve clients' self-determination abilities, communicative and self-service skills, ability to adapt to the social environment, and promote client integration into society (communication and behavioral culture, table manners, financial planning, shopping skills, etc.);
Provide first and emergency medical aid to branch clients and employees, and ensure pre-doctor assistance.
We Offer:
Work experience in state administration;
Normal working hours;
Salary from 550 EUR - 554 EUR (gross, for half-time); salary during probation up to EUR 550.50 (for half-time);
Monthly allowance of 10% related to special risk;
Health insurance after 3 months of work;
Friendly, responsive, and professional colleagues;
Special allowance for medical professionals for work experience up to 8% of the set monthly salary (documentation of work experience from previous employers must be submitted);
Additional leave for special risk (3 working days per year) and additional leave for annual assessment (from 4 - 10 working days per year).
Work Location: VSAC "Zemgale" branch "Ropaži", "Juglaskrasti", Ropaži, Ropažu parish, Ropažu municipality.
