SIA "Kuldīgas slimnīca" invites a nurse (pediatric/neonatal care) to work in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department on an indefinite basis
About the position:
Position: General care nurse in pediatric care (LR profession classifier code 2221 47)
Work organization: Full-time work, summarized work time, 24-hour on-call shifts
Employment contract: Indefinite
Work location: Aizputes iela 22, Kuldīga, Kuldīgas novads
Compensation: Hourly rate of 7.35 EUR per hour (gross);
Social guarantees and allowances: For night work, work on public holidays, for experience in healthcare, for outpatient consultations, etc.) in accordance with LR legislation, internal regulatory documents, and collective agreement.

Main job responsibilities:
Assess the newborn's health status and provide newborn care, monitoring, and health status evaluation;
Carefully follow physician instructions/tasks and perform prescribed medical procedures in accordance with your competence and approved protocols;
Conduct daily rounds with the newborn, consult and practically train mothers on breastfeeding and newborn care issues;
Perform newborn screening tests and vaccinations;
Timely, accurately, and in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements, complete medical documentation;
Observe infection control principles;
Ensure confidentiality, data protection, and patient rights in professional activities;
Participate in healthcare change and Hospital development processes.
We expect you to have:
Nurse (general care nurse) education and specialization in pediatric care;
Registration in the Registry of Healthcare Professionals;
Desired experience in pediatric/neonatal care;
State language proficiency in accordance with LR legislation;
Precision, high sense of responsibility, good communication skills, ability to work both individually and in a team;
Good computer skills: MS Office environment, electronic correspondence, applications and IS, work with office equipment;
Ability to react quickly and act in emergency situations;
Positive attitude toward work and healthy professional ambitions.
