(Registration No. 90000159123) Rīgas sociālās aprūpes centrs "Mežciems" (hereinafter – the Centre) announces a competition for Nurse (profession code: 2221 46) position for an indefinite period (0.5 full-time equivalent) Requirements for candidates: • Secondary professional or first-level professional higher medical education; • Registration in the Register of Healthcare Professionals; • State language proficiency (Level C, 1st degree); • Practical work experience in healthcare; • Ability to prepare written reports and documentation; • Knowledge of sanitary and hygiene requirements; • High communication skills and ability to interact with people; • Knowledge of disinfection, deratization, cleaning and hygiene products/supplies; • Knowledge of the operating principles and usage rules of equipment and devices used at work; • Familiarity with healthcare service accounting systems will be considered an advantage. Main responsibilities: • Distribute medications to individual clients according to family physician prescriptions; • Perform necessary medical procedures – administer prescribed medications enterally (orally), parenterally, or intravenously; • Collect precise blood, urine and other samples for laboratory testing and ensure their preparation for transport; • Perform wound care, dressing changes and other medical procedures; • Record all daily medical procedures, including medication dispensing, in client prescription sheets; • Prepare prescription sheets for the current month at the beginning of each month; • Issue positioning – fluid intake sheets for mobility-limited clients to care staff and monitor their completion; • Process and disinfect medical instruments following contamination by clients.
