(Registration No. 90000159123) Rīgas sociālās aprūpes centrs "Mežciems" (hereinafter – the Centre) announces a competitive recruitment for a nurse position (profession code: 2221 46) for an indefinite period (1 full-time position) Position Purpose: Ensure qualified health maintenance measures for Centre clients and preserve/improve client health status, educate clients on disease and injury prevention, and provide first aid within the scope of job competencies. Requirements for Candidates: • Secondary professional or first-level professional higher medical education; • Registration in the Healthcare Professionals Register; • State language proficiency (Level C, Stage 1); • Practical work experience in healthcare; • Ability to prepare written reports and documentation; • Knowledge of sanitary and hygiene requirements; • High communication skills and ability to interact with people; • Knowledge of disinfection, pest control, cleaning, and hygiene products/supplies; • Knowledge of equipment and devices used in the workplace, their operation principles, and usage regulations; • Knowledge of healthcare service accounting systems will be considered an advantage. Main Responsibilities: • Dispense medications to individual clients according to family physician prescriptions; • Perform necessary medical procedures – administer prescribed medications enterally (orally), parenterally, or intravenously; • Collect precise blood, urine, and other samples for laboratory testing and ensure their preparation for transportation; • Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other medical procedures; • Daily record all medical procedures, including medication distribution, in client prescription forms; • Prepare prescription forms at the beginning of each month for the current month; • Issue positioning and fluid intake forms to care staff for mobility-limited clients and monitor compliance; • Process and disinfect medical instruments following client contact.
