Västergötlands Museum is an independent foundation with the purpose of conducting and promoting cultural heritage preservation and museum activities as well as other cultural activities in Skaraborg. Collaborating with representatives of state cultural heritage preservation within the county and managing the foundation's collections, buildings, land areas and other assets is also part of the museum's mission.

We are now looking for you to become our marketing communicator!
Your main responsibilities
You will be part of the public unit and will be leading the development of our brand. As a marketing communicator, you work to strengthen the museum's visibility and plan and implement marketing initiatives. You have press responsibility and will work with media.
In your role you work both strategically and operatively. This could include developing a new communication strategy, implementing campaigns, participating in trade fairs, developing new concepts and producing marketing materials.
You will collaborate with other parties, such as municipalities, businesses and associations.
You need to be curious about new technology and how it can help streamline communications work. You have good knowledge of different communication channels and how we should use them. You are responsible for producing content for the website, social media and newsletters.
The position includes supporting educational activities, which means, for example, guided tours and providing support at events.
Who are you
As a person, you are curious, self-driven and outgoing. You are relationship-building and find it easy to build trust when meeting different people.
You are creative, innovative and confident in driving matters forward – both on your own and together with the team. Because we are a small team, you need to be comfortable switching between different roles.
You have a good feel for language and can formulate communication that gets through.
We are looking for someone who has
Relevant education in media and communications, marketing or equivalent.
Documented experience working in communications and marketing.
Experience with guided tours is an advantage.
