Job Description AFRY's environment and sustainability services help clients in the public sector, industry, and energy sectors meet increasing demands for resource efficiency, environmental responsibility, and climate transition. Our expertise spans environmental impact assessments, permitting processes, sustainability strategies, climate and life cycle calculations, EHS, land and nature issues, and circular economy. As Market Area Manager, you will have personnel and profit responsibility for approximately 75 people and report to the Director and Head of Transportation Sweden Environment. You will lead 4 direct reports and employees distributed across six offices in Skåne, Halland, Blekinge, Jönköping, and Västra Götaland. In this role, you are responsible for leading and developing employees by creating engagement, building trust, and establishing a culture where competence, collaboration, and continuous development are central. You drive the business by creating and maintaining long-term customer relationships and ensuring sustainable profitability in a specialized consulting operation. You are part of the Transportation Sweden Environment management team and are motivated by actively contributing to the development of our offering, both operationally and strategically, together with business developers, regional managers, market area managers, section heads, and group managers. Choice of work location is flexible within the market area. Qualifications You are an experienced and confident leader with a background in infrastructure development, environment and sustainability issues, for example as a consultant, client, or in other relevant operations. You are used to leading through other managers and have a good understanding of how to develop a business-oriented, values-driven, and knowledge-intensive organization. You are strategic and business-driven with the ability to see the bigger picture and drive long-term development. You work close to clients and are skilled at building strong, trusting relationships at management level. At the same time, you are an engaging and inclusive leader who stands for clear, modern leadership where people and collaboration are in focus. We see that you have relevant academic education in environment and/or sustainability. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
