Do you want to be part of shaping the future of meals in healthcare and elderly care? As a Meal Developer, you'll have a key role where you combine the joy of food, digital development, and sustainability in a mission that truly makes a difference for people - every day.
About the Workplace
MatOmsorg, the healthcare and elderly care administration's meal organization, delivers food and meals to our facilities - 365 days a year! We are 50 people working at four cooking kitchens, an office, and the city's care homes. We work toward the goal of offering meals that enhance quality of life and add that extra sparkle to our customers' everyday lives.
You will be based at the administration office located in the Maria Park district.
What We Offer
In this role, you'll have significant room to influence and develop. You work together with engaged colleagues in a workplace where ideas are valued and improvement work is encouraged. We welcome you to a team that enjoys taking responsibility, takes pride in delivering high and consistent quality, and considers it self-evident to put the guest in focus. Our workplace is smoke-free and health-conscious, and you'll receive a wellness allowance of 3000 kr per year.
Job Responsibilities
Your mission is to drive and coordinate the development of our meal operations. You lead projects from idea to implementation and ensure that development initiatives translate into concrete improvements in the operations.
One of your first and most important assignments will be to project-lead the implementation of a new dietary database system that is currently being procured. You plan and execute the implementation, train users, and develop working methods that make the system a natural support in the operations. In connection with this, you will also drive development work related to digitalization and the introduction of user-friendly digital solutions that contribute to efficient and high-quality meal operations.
You work closely with operations to develop and quality-assure the meals served within the healthcare and elderly care administration. With your expertise in meals, nutrition, and adapted meals, you translate research, legislation, and national recommendations into practical working methods that contribute to good meal experiences and high quality.
The assignment also includes driving development work within sustainability and preparedness. You contribute to reducing food waste, increasing resource efficiency, and strengthening the operation's resilience to ensure secure meal supply even during societal disruptions and crises. Your closest collaborators are MatOmsorg's managers, operations developers, environmental coordinators, and kitchen managers.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a degree as a dietitian, food scientist, or other education or work experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have education in food safety and good knowledge of nutrition and adapted meals. You also have a good understanding of how planning, production, and quality together create a good meal experience.
To succeed in this role, you need good pedagogical skills and the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. You have experience creating engagement, driving development work, and involving employees in change and improvement processes. Furthermore, you have good digital skills and see opportunities in how digital tools can contribute to more efficient and high-quality operations. A Class B driver's license is required.
It is meritorious if you have experience working in large-scale kitchens, dietary database systems, project management, change management, digitalization, or preparedness work.
Your Personal Qualities Matter to Us
As a person, you are curious, engaged, and solution-oriented. You thrive in collaboration with others and have a good ability to build and maintain good relationships. You are driven to develop operations and working methods and see opportunities where others see obstacles. It is also important that you have a strong interest in digital development.
