We are now seeking a meal assistant/facility maintenance worker with interest and a passion for facility management at Peder Skrivares Gymnasium. Peder Skrivares Gymnasium is located in several buildings, and we are now looking to strengthen our team with a position in the receiving kitchen in Building 9. As a meal assistant and facility maintenance worker, you will have varied work where facility management is a central part. You will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are clean, pleasant, and welcoming, but you will also be part of the operations in the receiving kitchen with serving, simple meal preparation, and other kitchen duties. WORK DUTIES • Facility maintenance in all areas of the school • Use of cleaning machines • Serving of daily lunch • Simple cooking (e.g., boiling potatoes, pasta, grains) • Salad preparation and other kitchen duties • Dishwashing and kitchen cleaning • Self-inspection within kitchen and cleaning operations • Orders via digital systems QUALIFICATIONS You work both independently and together with colleagues, sometimes at different work locations, which provides a varied daily routine. The work is characterized by service, quality, and a sustainable, ergonomic approach. You have a commitment to facility management and see the value in a clean and well-maintained environment. You thrive in a role where service and customer interaction are important. You work in a structured manner and can handle varying tasks within both kitchen and facility management. You are happy to contribute ideas and improvement suggestions that develop the operations forward. Qualifications: • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written • Food service education at secondary school level or equivalent • Pryl or other certified facility maintenance education • Computer skills, ability to handle simple administrative tasks Meritorious: • Experience with facility and floor maintenance • Experience as a meal assistant • Category B driving license Experience and education are valuable, but we believe that a positive attitude, responsibility, and strong service focus are equally important for success in this role. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration: Start date: 2026-08-17 Temporary position, end date: 2027-08-17.
