Meal Service prepares and serves approximately 7,000 meals every day to preschools, elementary schools, high schools, elderly care, home services, and day activities. We also manage the café operations in City Hall where we serve breakfast and lunch to city employees and visitors. In addition to our daily operations, we handle catering orders and arrange, among other things, the city's popular Christmas buffet for employees. We always strive to choose the best ingredients and create meals that are nutritious, delicious, sustainable, pleasant, inclusive, and safe. Our work is based on the Swedish National Food Agency's meal model and the city's meal policy. Through active quality control work, we ensure compliance with food safety legislation and work systematically with quality and safety. We also continuously work to reduce our environmental impact by increasing the proportion of vegetables and reducing the use of foods with high climate impact in accordance with national recommendations. Your Assignment As a café assistant at Café Torget, you are an important part of our daily operations and contribute to creating a welcoming and pleasant meeting place for our guests. You need to have cold service experience and be accustomed to working with catering operations. Your main tasks are to: prepare sandwiches and salads for the buffet serve simple meals and refreshments prepare catering orders handle dishwashing, cleaning, and tidying ensure the café is welcoming work together with colleagues to plan and carry out the café's daily operations You work closely with your café colleagues and also collaborate with other parts of Meal Service. We are looking for you who have work experience from the restaurant and/or café industry.
