Ref: 20261782 Job Responsibilities Work is performed in Malmö Konsthall's exhibition hall, where hosts inform and meet the gallery's visitors. Malmö Konsthall hosts work with mediation, art security, and creating a welcoming encounter with visitors. Visitor art experiences are at the center, and we place great emphasis on professional, attentive, and service-oriented treatment. Job duties include meeting visitors, guarding artworks, and contributing to the exhibition hall being a safe and well-functioning environment. Hosts are also responsible for locks and alarms and may serve as morning staff during school visits. The role also includes mediation work, such as giving tours and other public activities for groups in Swedish and English. When needed, work in the gallery shop may also occur. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: education in art or culture work experience in service and visitor industry good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English It is meritorious if you have: previous experience working as a host at an art institution or other cultural venue knowledge of languages in addition to Swedish and English experience in retail and cash handling The position requires a natural sense for social interaction and good customer service skills. The work requires that you can deliver shorter and longer presentations about the current exhibition. The position requires an ability to handle unexpected situations. You collaborate well with others and enjoy being part of a team. Great weight will be placed on these personal qualities.
