About Us Malingsbo Tolvsbo Rehabcenter is a small, family-oriented treatment home in southern Dalarna. Our parent organization is Västanfors Västanvåla Parish, a parish in the Swedish Church. We have provided substance abuse treatment with an excellent reputation since 2002. Our target group is men and women age 20 and older. We offer a structured treatment program based on disease concepts. We approach addiction as a whole, addressing its consequences from biochemical and psychosocial perspectives. Our treatment program is based on cognitive behavioral therapy and the 12-step philosophy, which includes regular peer support meetings. At Malingsbo Tolvsbo Rehabcenter, we view addiction as a primary and chronic disease that affects the brain's reward system, and therefore see consequences as symptoms of the disease. Our staff includes an operations manager/CEO, treatment-responsible addiction specialist and CBT therapist, 12-step addiction therapists, treatment assistants, and a housemistress. We are a small workplace, so it is important that you fit with and complement our existing team. Your personality will carry significant weight in our hiring process. About You Our goal is to provide quality treatment, so it is important that as a treatment assistant you have good knowledge of addiction and its manifestations and consequences. We are looking for someone with adequate education such as treatment assistant/social pedagogue, nursing assistant with a focus on psychiatry/addiction, or equivalent training and experience working with our target group. Personal recovery with at least 5 years clean time is a merit, but then you must have completed your own 12-step treatment, worked the steps, and actively live in the program. We attend 12-step meetings several times a week, so a valid driver's license (category B) and driving experience is a requirement. We see that you have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing as well as experience with documentation. You need good ability to build relationships with a clear and structured approach. You need to be responsible and able to handle people in any situation while remaining calm. You need to be prepared to develop your professional role with the help of internal supervision. About the Position As a treatment assistant at Malingsbo Tolvsbo Rehabcenter, you are responsible for daily practical work, including support outside of treatment for those undergoing treatment with us, cleaning, cooking, driving, some gardening, etc. We offer a scheduled full-time position with varying content and flexible working hours. Our treatment assistants work 24-hour shifts with on-call sleeping duty on a rotating schedule. The work also includes ongoing documentation. Collective agreement and wellness allowance are available. About the Recruitment Process The position will be filled subject to required decisions being made. 6 months probation will be applied.
