ART THERAPIST
(with specialization in visual art therapy)

Your main responsibilities:
Conduct an initial assessment of the patient's health status, functional abilities, and limitations by systematically analyzing the patient's problems, difficulties, situation, and personality.
Evaluate the patient's abilities, resources, and motivation that can be utilized in the visual art therapy process and identify the patient's personality traits and manifestations of mental state.
Analyze and utilize information from the multidisciplinary team, medical personnel, and the patient's family members.
Formulate appropriate visual art therapy goals and tasks in accordance with the patient's assessment, adapting them to the patient's needs, problems, and resources.
Plan and implement individual and group visual art therapy sessions for patients, ensuring 6 contact hours per day (within the framework of full-time employment) working with patients.
Evaluate the results of the visual art therapy process and develop a professional conclusion, providing recommendations for further action.
Consult with the patient about their functional abilities, resources, opportunities for improvement, and visual art therapy results.
Document the visual art therapy process and results in accordance with regulatory requirements and NMHC regulations.
We are looking for a colleague with:
Master's degree in healthcare with a qualification in visual art therapy.
Art Therapist certification. Uncertified art therapists work under the supervision of a certified art therapist.
Registration in the Register of Medical Practitioners.
Preferred work experience in art therapy, including art therapy practice in a healthcare institution as part of studies.
Ability to provide professional skills and competencies required for art therapy work in accordance with profession standard requirements, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of art therapy.
Ability to use analytical and critical thinking, as well as a scientific approach to problem-solving, and the ability to apply effective and creative problem-solving strategies in complex and unpredictable circumstances.
Good communication skills and the ability to organize work rationally even under conditions of high intensity and stress.
State language proficiency in accordance with the regulatory acts of the Republic of Latvia.

Hourly compensation at a rate of 13.06 EUR (gross).
