In this role, you'll become part of a team of maintenance engineers for machinery procurement that is part of the Engineering and Projects department. Our work is characterized by strong technical expertise, great drive and pace. We also place great value on safety, collaboration, and continuous improvements. We work closely and collaboratively with the production technical groups and their project managers. Together we're building Scania's future production. In your role, you'll be active in the areas that manufacture transmission components and processing of engine components, and you'll report to a Group Manager for Engineering and Projects.

Your Main Responsibilities
You'll have an important role where your responsibility is to ensure that the equipment being procured meets the requirements according to Scania's technical specifications for production and maintenance. You work in project form together with the production technical departments, with local maintenance engineers as your customers. Your main responsibilities are to specify requirements regarding operational reliability and maintainability in procurements. Through Scania's machinery investment process, you ensure that our requirements are implemented in reality. You also conduct reference visits to evaluate concepts both in Sweden and abroad.
Together with the local maintenance department, you create the initial maintenance plan, review and establish spare parts structures, and ensure systematic and planned handover of new production equipment to the local production and maintenance organization.
Who You Are
We're looking for someone with a university degree or engineering degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and automation, or maintenance engineering, or equivalent education. Previous experience as a production technician or maintenance engineer is a merit. We'd like to see that you have experience with machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinding machines, and have several years of experience in this field.
We also value it if you have knowledge of blueprint reading, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also important.
You have very good general knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and are fluent in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Since you collaborate with many different stakeholders, you need to be comfortable switching perspectives and be adaptable to both environment and situation. Your interpersonal skills and trustworthy manner make it easy for you to build long-term and sustainable relationships.
