The Care and Services Administration provides services, support, care, and assistance to seniors and people with disabilities, and is responsible for the exercise of authority in accordance with applicable legislation. The administration operates services within elderly care, disability services (LSS), social psychiatry, health and medical care, family support, and authority exercise. All work is carried out with the resident in focus, based on our core values: respect, participation, trust, and security. JOB DUTIES
As a contact person, you are first and foremost a fellow human being who is there as support, companionship, and security in everyday life. You function as a friend to talk to, a person who listens, offers advice on everyday matters, and encourages a more active and social life outside the home. Together you do things that feel enjoyable and meaningful, all with the goal of reducing the social isolation that can occur.
You meet four times per month, typically two to four hours per occasion. When you meet, what you do, and where you go are determined together based on the person's interests and needs.
The assignment is voluntary, but you will receive an honorarium and expense reimbursement according to SKR's guidelines as compensation for your contribution.
Being a contact person means you make an important and valuable difference in another person's everyday life—an effort that can create security, joy, and improved quality of life.
About the Client
A man in his early 30s with Asperger's syndrome needs support to break his social isolation and create more meaningful contact points in everyday life.
He particularly enjoys going to the movies, eating at restaurants, and taking outings or shopping in Stockholm.
QUALIFICATIONS
For this assignment, it is important that you are very calm and clear. You are empathetic, keep your promises, and are attentive.
We would like you to have previous experience with Asperger's syndrome and to have worked with MI (motivational interviewing).
The assignment extends for at least one year.
Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
