Together with researchers, students, organizations, and colleagues, you'll find paths forward and make things happen. Your role with us As a senior business developer at LTU Business, you work independently at the intersection of technology, research, and market. You take responsibility for complex assignments from initial needs analysis to recommendation and implementation. A large part of the role involves innovation advisory to researchers and students at Luleå University of Technology. You help them explore needs, assess the potential of ideas, and take the next steps toward use or commercialization. You also work on business development assignments and regional development projects that are important for northern Sweden's competitiveness. This could include, for example, fossil-free transport, hydrogen, energy transition, advanced technology, and new industrial value chains. Assignments vary over time and can include both analysis and concrete implementation. You take independent overall responsibility for your assignments and work closely with colleagues and external parties. The role requires you to quickly create structure in new and complex contexts, make well-founded assessments, and build trusting relationships with clients and collaboration partners. In the role, you will, among other things Provide business and innovation advisory to researchers and students with ideas that can create value outside academia Conduct needs and market analyses and formulate clear decision-making documents and recommendations Lead complex feasibility studies, market validations, and business development projects Drive regional development assignments together with companies, academia, and public actors Plan and lead workshops, meetings, and presentations Take responsibility for customer relations, delivery, and budget in your assignments Contribute to new assignments by identifying needs and developing relevant offerings together with colleagues Why we need you LTU Business should be a leader in northern Sweden in business development and innovation management. We therefore need to strengthen the team with an experienced person who understands advanced technology and can simultaneously assess customer value, market, and feasibility. Who we're looking for You have experience from a technology-intensive service or product company and a practical understanding of how technical possibilities can be developed into usable solutions and sustainable businesses. You're used to independently leading work where technology, customer needs, and business need to be weighed together. You don't need to have worked as an innovation advisor before, but you have a clear interest in business development and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new technology areas and operations. To succeed in the role, we believe you Have a relevant academic degree, such as a degree in engineering or other university education with a clear technical focus Have several years of qualified work experience from a technology-intensive service or product company Can analyze complex information, see business opportunities, and translate conclusions into next steps Have independently led projects or assignments and taken responsibility for progress, quality, and delivery Communicate professionally in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing It is a merit if you have experience with any of the following Innovation work, commercialization, or development of new products and services Advisory, consulting assignments, or work close to customers and external collaboration partners Having started or run a company yourself Industrial transformation in areas such as energy, transport, hydrogen, or other sustainable technology Collaboration between academia, business, and the public sector Your personality You'll thrive with us if you Are curious and analytical and enjoy understanding both the technology and the context around it Dare to make decisions and take initiative and drive work forward even when the path isn't yet clear Are unpretentious, helpful, and contribute to colleagues' and the company's best interests Build trust when meeting with researchers, students, customers, and collaboration partners Are results-oriented and motivated by ideas leading to concrete value LTU Business as an employer LTU Business is a business development company owned by Luleå University of Technology through LTU Holding.
