Job Responsibilities
We are now seeking a support pedagogue for Unit 3 LSS Housing. The support pedagogue's responsibilities include providing support and assistance to service users in daily activities, as well as implementing work methods and approaches in the operation in close collaboration with others working with the service user.
By creating good relationships with service users, you provide support in various everyday situations and in maintaining social contacts and relationships. All support measures, such as activities, cleaning, laundry, meals, personal support, and physical care, are based on the service user's individual needs and wishes in accordance with LSS legislation and the City of Malmö's LSS plan and values. The work should promote independence, participation, and be carried out with respect for the service user's integrity and self-determination. The basis for the measures is the service users' implementation plans and action plans, which are developed together with the service users. You work systematically with social documentation.
You collaborate with your colleagues and other stakeholders for the benefit of the service user, and participate in finding solutions and methods that develop the work. The starting point is the pedagogical approach that supports each individual's participation and self-determination. As a support pedagogue, you actively work to increase the pedagogical approach in the operation. The support pedagogue role includes being a team leader for one of the teams at the workplace.
Handling of medication may be part of the duties, delegated by a nurse.
The position includes day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Qualifications
We are seeking someone with post-secondary education comprising at least 200 YH credits or 60 higher education credits. The education should have a clear focus on the disability field and/or the behavioral science field. If you have additional post-secondary education in the disability field, this is meriting.
You have at least one year of experience working within LSS. It is meriting if you have worked with service users within category 1 under LSS legislation. If you have previous experience with visual supports pedagogy, low-arousal approaches, TAKK, AAC, and MI, we also consider this meriting. Of course, you have computer skills and express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
You need to be organized and have an easy time finding new solutions in difficult situations. The work requires that you can adapt when changes occur, but also that you can tolerate periods when there is not much activity in the operation. You have an easy time creating and maintaining good relationships with both colleagues, service users, and others.
Since you will be a team leader for one of the teams at the workplace, it is meriting if you have experience leading others in some form.
A manual transmission driving license is meriting but not required.
