About Löttinge Group Living
Löttinge Group Living opened in September 2024 and is located in Löttingelund in Täby. The group living facility consists of six apartments and a common area. The residents of Löttinge Group Living are individuals in LSS category 1, with autism and intellectual disabilities.
Löttingelund is an area with detached houses and row houses. The group living facility is located near nature areas and Rönningesjön lake. The lake has a swimming beach.
About the Work
As a support assistant, you are responsible for ensuring that residents receive the support, care, and assistance they need and are entitled to. You work independently and goal-oriented according to the facility's procedures and implementation plans. You enable individual development based on the resident's own circumstances. Your duties include providing practical assistance with personal care, meals, cleaning, laundry, and other household tasks as needed, based on individual needs, wishes, and implementation plans. You also maintain common areas such as the community space, laundry room, and staff room. You will work closely with family members and/or guardians or trustees, as well as various support teams. You possess the ability to find solutions in daily work, contribute to a good work environment, and actively participate in quality improvement work. You use and share knowledge that you gain through training.
The role of support assistant also includes certain medical tasks. You are responsible for following instructions delegated by health and medical personnel.
Your job may include areas of responsibility and representative roles that exist in the facility.
As a support assistant, you actively work with individual adaptations and communication aids. In Täby Municipality, we use the communication tool Symbolbruket, among others.
Qualifications
Requirements:
You have completed a child and youth program, care and social services program, assistant education at a vocational college, or other pedagogical education that the employer deems equivalent.
You have experience working with people with autism and intellectual disabilities. You must have a low-arousal approach, as challenging behavior may occur, and have knowledge of visual teaching methods. You have good computer skills and very good knowledge of social documentation. You must be able to swim, as visits to swimming facilities occur. The position also requires very good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written.
Meritorious:
It is advantageous if you have training in Visual Teaching Methods, AAC, TAKK, and Low-Arousal Approach. Driver's license.
Personal Competencies:
You have the ability to think and perform tasks independently within the framework of the facility. You enjoy challenges, remain calm in stressful situations, and have excellent communication and collaboration skills. Being part of and contributing to a good work environment is self-evident for you.
We are seeking 1 employee on a day/evening/weekend schedule. The position is 95%.
The position requires that you have very good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. You need to be able to speak, read, document, and understand instructions in Swedish.
To be considered for employment, you must obtain a certificate from the police's criminal record register; select "Kontrollera egna uppgifter".
