The department currently consists of 23 employees with varying assignments including solutions architecture, contract coordination, project management, and more. As a Solutions Architect with us, you have a central responsibility for ensuring that digital solutions are designed based on the organization's needs and goals—and that these are realized through sustainable, secure, and long-term architectural decisions. In the role, you work closely with the business and take responsibility for the entirety of the solution throughout its lifecycle—from early needs analysis and investigation to design and implementation. You contribute structure, clarity, and decision-making materials that create alignment between business, development, and technology. You operate in an environment with many parallel initiatives where integration, information management, cloud services, and modernization are central elements. Here you'll have the opportunity to influence both how we develop solutions and what technical and architectural decisions we make over time. As a Solutions Architect, you are responsible for, among other things: analyzing business needs and translating them into coherent solutions developing and visualizing architecture models that describe the solution from different perspectives such as business, information, and technology investigating alternatives, consequences, and risks, and anchoring recommended approaches ensuring that solutions comply with the region's architecture principles, strategies, and guidelines supporting development projects so they deliver according to objectives and architecture taking responsibility for long-term viability, lifecycle, and maintainability in solution design serving as a natural bridge between business functional needs and technical implementation You work closely with business representatives, project managers, development teams, other architects, and external suppliers. We offer a flexible way of working where you can work remotely for much of the time, while also participating on-site in Karlskrona when needed for collaboration, workshops, and meetings. About You We are looking for someone who has: a higher education degree in IT or other relevant education and/or experience deemed equivalent several years of experience working as a solutions architect, systems architect, or in a similar role strong ability to work in a structured, analytical, and model-based manner experience developing architecture and design decisions in complex environments understanding of the interplay between business, information, and technology a coaching and communicative working style that builds trust and alignment It is meritorious if you have experience with: public sector operations or mission-critical systems leading or coordinating roles in development initiatives work with integrations, information architecture, or cloud-based solutions Since Swedish is Region Blekinge's corporate language, you need to be able to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish. You also handle English fluently in contact with suppliers and documentation. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Region Blekinge wartime-positions all permanent employees. About Development and IT Region Blekinge's organization is divided into six areas of responsibility, one of which is Development and IT. Here resources are gathered in planning, digitalization, information technology, research, quality and development, public health, environment, and sustainability. The area also houses the patient board's office. The area manages and develops, among other things, the organization's work related to technical services, management systems, process-oriented working methods, and portfolio, architecture, technology, and information governance. It also includes Blekinge Competence Center, which is responsible for Region Blekinge's medical library, learning center, R&D agreements, the scientific council, and other research activities.
