The Technical Services Department is Trelleborg Municipality's enabling department. We are a reliable, secure, and value-creating resource that works proactively, efficiently, and sustainably together with those who live, work, and stay in Trelleborg Municipality. The department's five divisions have overall responsibility within different areas for planning, managing, and developing public spaces. We do this, for example, by maintaining the municipality's public areas, waste management and sewage handling, water supply, and infrastructure. We also deliver internal services such as operation and maintenance of the municipality's facilities, local services, systems management, and IT support. The Workplace Internal Services is one of several divisions within the Technical Services Department with the task of delivering services in the form of local services, transportation, vehicle maintenance, and management of the municipality's sports facilities. The local services unit consists of 94 local services attendants, two coordinators, and three unit managers. Together we work actively to ensure that cleaning is performed to the highest standard and place great emphasis on developing the skills of our staff. The local services unit's mission is to ensure that all facilities within the municipality are clean, fresh, and pleasant. As an hourly substitute employee, you will be one of those contributing to the fulfillment of our mission. We place great emphasis on using work methods that are environmentally friendly and ergonomic to protect our employees. We need hourly substitute staff for on-call employment, where you will replace regular staff during illness or other absences. We need you to be flexible regarding working hours, where you can be available with short notice from 06:00 in the morning. As a new employee in local services, you will receive introduction and skills development training covering safety, ergonomics, hygiene, chemicals, methods, etc. Work Tasks You will work creating clean, safe, and pleasant environments in the municipality's facilities such as schools, preschools, offices, elderly care homes, and libraries. Qualifications Work as a local services attendant requires that you are thorough, take responsibility for your work, and for you it is self-evident to provide good service with high quality. You should have the ability to work independently but also be able to plan and collaborate with your colleagues. In the role of local services attendant, you need to have good communication skills that show in your engagement with both customers and colleagues. It is an advantage if you have work experience as a local services attendant and completed and approved training in cleaning. It is also advantageous if you have professional experience from work in local services or another service profession. It is also an advantage if you have work experience meeting people. It is particularly advantageous if you have a driver's license B for manually operated vehicles, as all of Trelleborg Municipality can become your work area. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language both spoken and written, as work as a local services attendant involves documenting, communicating both orally and in writing, and following written routines and instructions.
