The Department of Education in the City of Gothenburg is now seeking a dedicated and thorough facility cleaner for area services at the Lindholmen upper secondary school campus. The Lindholmen upper secondary school area includes Lindholmen Technical Upper Secondary School, Polhems Upper Secondary School, Bräcke Upper Secondary School, Ester Mosessons Upper Secondary School, and the Center for Language Introduction. Our service organization is responsible for facility cleaning, maintenance, meal services, and area administration. We are now looking for a facility cleaner with primary placement at Lindholmen Technical Upper Secondary School, a high-tech school with approximately 1,000 students and 130 staff members. Here you will work in an inspiring environment with modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment. Part of the position will be based at the Center for Language Introduction, a smaller school unit with approximately 250 students and 40 staff members. As a facility cleaner, you are an important person in the school's daily operations and maintenance. You are responsible for ensuring that our facilities are clean, pleasant, and maintain a high hygiene standard. Your work is crucial in creating a good and safe study and work environment for our students and staff. The position is based at Lindholmen Technical Upper Secondary School and the Center for Language Introduction, but work may occur at other schools included in the Lindholmen upper secondary school area. Job Responsibilities As a facility cleaner within area services, you play a central role in the daily operations of the upper secondary school area. You are responsible for performing professional facility cleaning in various areas of the upper secondary school, including classrooms, corridors, stairs, offices, hygiene facilities, and common areas. The work involves both regular daily cleaning and periodic maintenance work according to established cleaning instructions and hygiene standards. You work with modern equipment, machines, and environmentally adapted methods. Together with your colleagues, you contribute to a good work environment and ensure that our facilities always maintain high quality and feel welcoming. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Experience with professional facility cleaning, preferably from public sector or school facilities. Experience operating cleaning equipment and good knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and ergonomics. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as you will communicate with colleagues, school staff, and students. It is advantageous if you have formal training in facility cleaning (such as SRY, PRR, or equivalent documented competence) as well as experience working in larger upper secondary schools or complex facility environments. As a person, you are thorough, responsible, and have a good sense of service. You work well with others while also being able to take initiative and plan your work independently.
