About the position Linköping University manages facilities cleaning entirely in-house. The work environment for employees and students begins with pleasant and functional facilities. Facilities cleaning maintains all spaces according to agreements with the departments. We work with modern equipment and environmentally friendly products such as ultrapure water, adapted for spaces with different uses. Your task is to work together with your colleagues to ensure that the University's teaching spaces, offices, staff rooms, sanitary facilities, and other common areas are kept clean. You will work with everything from machine cleaning, floor care, and textile care to comprehensive cleaning and move-out cleaning. About you We are looking for someone with a service-oriented approach who can take initiative within your work. As a person, you are loyal and driven by the feeling that you are doing a good job. Since we work in a team, it is important that you are good at collaborating. You have at least one year of experience in facilities cleaning, preferably in a public environment. We also see that you have good knowledge within the profession and preferably a professional certification. The equipment we use requires basic digital skills, and since the work is sometimes physically demanding with a fast pace, it is important that you have and maintain good physical fitness. Since we have many different types of specialized spaces, it is of great importance that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and it is helpful if you also have basic knowledge of English. Your workplace The Facilities Cleaning Unit is a service unit within the University Administration at Linköping University with approximately 100 employees. The unit provides services, mainly facilities cleaning but also window cleaning and floor care. The Facilities Cleaning Unit is geographically divided into six areas and performs cleaning on approximately 200,000 square meters. The unit performs facilities cleaning in many different types of environments and has a varied, extensive machinery fleet as well as its own laundry facility. The unit is environmentally and quality certified. Knowledgeable and engaged staff members are one of the absolute most important success factors for Linköping University. And we need more of them.
