Daugavpils State City Municipality Public Institution "Social Service"
is seeking a
SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST.
Project Objective:
The project provides individually tailored, comprehensive support to children with behavioral and addiction problems, as well as their families, based on collaboration among specialists from various fields. This allows families to receive necessary assistance in a timely and coordinated manner in one place.
Service provision period from November 2026 through August 2029.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Service:
Provides speech-language pathology consultations in accordance with the developed Support Plan, promotes the child's communication skills and forms of expression, develops speech expression, language and interpersonal skills. Works with children who have behavioral and communication difficulties, facilitating their ability to understand both peers and adults.
After a cycle of consultations, prepares recommendations for the child and the caregiver and submits them to the social worker of the social service. Attends supervision (1× per month), participates in team meetings (1× per month), and engages in continuing education activities. Adheres to ethics, data protection, and confidentiality principles in work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree (first-cycle higher education) in pedagogy and school speech-language pathologist qualification, or higher education and speech-language pathologist or audiologist qualification (MK Regulation No. 569-12. point).
- Registration in the Medical Professionals State Register and the Medical Support Professionals Register, in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
- Experience in the past three years performing professional speech-language pathology work with children or families (at least 24 months cumulative work experience).
Project Implementation Location:
Daugavpils State City Municipality Public Institution "Social Service" in cooperation with the foundation "Latvian Children's Support Fund" and the association "Resilience Center".
Compensation: 50 euro/consultation.
