The role of speech-language pathologist
You will meet patient groups primarily within neurology and geriatric health, or alternatively pediatrics, from a person-centered perspective. Patients with voice disorders are another patient group you may work with. Your work will include assessments and treatment interventions based on your target group, and you will be part of a team effort.
Work tasks within neurology and geriatric health include:
• Swallowing, speech and language assessments within inpatient and outpatient care
• Treatment of speech and language impairments in neurological conditions
• FEES (Flexible Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing)
Work tasks within pediatrics include:
• Preschool children who have difficulty developing speech, language and communication
• Assessment and counseling regarding approaches for language stimulation and direct treatment interventions
• Close collaboration with guardians and other people in the child's environment
• Stuttering
Work tasks within voice include:
• Assessment and treatment of voice disorders
The position is a permanent full-time employment based in Värnamo, with a probationary period of 6 months that may be applied.

Your profile
We are looking for a licensed speech-language pathologist for our competent and dedicated team.
You like working independently, but also find it easy to work with others. You take initiative, are organized and work towards set goals. You have a holistic view where the patient and their loved ones are involved and in focus for your interventions. You have a quality mindset, are interested in developing and improving operations, and have a creative and solution-focused approach. You see the importance of relationship building and clear communication, and like us, you thrive in teams where we strengthen and complement each other. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
A category B driving license is required as work travel may be included.
