We are now looking for a Logistics Specialist for an international company in the Life Science/medical technology sector, with operations in Uppsala. You will become part of an experienced logistics team and play an important role in ensuring that the company's products are delivered to customers around the world – on time, in the right quantities, and without deviations. As a Logistics Specialist, you are responsible for planning, administering, and following up on transports from Sweden to the company's global customer base. You work closely with both internal and external partners and maintain ongoing contact with, among others, transporters, warehouses, customer service, and other functions within the organization. You will be part of an experienced logistics team of approximately seven employees. The team works closely with both internal functions and international partners, which means you will have many contact points and a varied work day. The operations are international and you will daily collaborate with people and functions both in Sweden and abroad. This role is perfect for you if you enjoy combining administration, coordination, and problem-solving, and if you thrive with many parallel matters to manage. Key responsibilities: Manage the logistics flow from Sweden to the end customer within your region. Plan, administer, and follow up on deliveries to internal and external customers. Ensure that deliveries occur on time and according to agreement. Maintain ongoing contact with external transporters and freight forwarders. Ensure that transport documentation and other relevant information are shared in a timely manner. Identify, follow up on, and handle deviations related to, for example, delivery, quality, or cost. Be an important contact between customer service, warehouse, and external logistics partners. Contribute to local and global projects within the logistics area. Work continuously to improve processes and working methods. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Have post-secondary education in, for example, logistics, supply chain, or engineering, or alternatively at least 3 years of relevant work experience in logistics or transport. Have experience in logistics and transport administration. Have good system skills and preferably experience with ERP and/or TMS systems. Have very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Have good knowledge of Swedish. Are used to working in a structured and careful manner even when the pace is high. Thrive collaborating with different functions and contact points in an international environment. Have good ability to prioritize and ensure that deadlines are met. Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems as well as work with dangerous goods is advantageous but not required. As a person, you are structured, responsible, and solution-oriented. You have an easy time getting up to speed with new systems and processes and are not afraid to take responsibility when the situation requires it. We believe you are a quick learner who wants to develop, and who in the long term would be happy to take on additional areas of responsibility. Since you will be part of an experienced team, it is important that you are unpretentious, collaborative, and have the ability to both work independently and support your colleagues when needed.
