ABOUT THE ROLE: On behalf of our client, Friday is seeking a junior logistics engineer for a long-term consulting assignment based in Köping. Our client is a global industrial company with a strong tradition of innovation and quality, and is now on an exciting journey toward more automated and future-proof production. The factory in Köping has been designated as a pilot site within the group – which means the work done here won't stay local. What is built and established in Köping will shape how the group operates in more places going forward. This is an assignment for you who wants to be part of a major change early on and actually influence how it takes shape. Your main areas of work: You work closely with your team and together you map how the factory currently operates – then find smart ways to automate and improve the flows. In practice, this means you: - Learn to understand how materials and transports move through the factory and identify opportunities for improvement - Help develop proposals for what can be automated and how it will work in practice - Contribute to calculating capacity and transport needs within the site - Help document flows and prepare materials and technical specifications - Have many contact points and gather information from different parts of the operation - Help anchor solutions with those affected by the change A large part of the role involves change management just as much as technology. You ensure that employees feel secure in the changes that occur. WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS: - Master's degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on process and production development, logistics and/or production - Understanding of production systems, material flows, and Lean - Experience with or knowledge of AGV/AMR systems and autonomous material flows, for example solutions from Kollmorgen or equivalent - Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written To thrive in the role, we believe you are genuinely curious and see possibilities rather than obstacles.
