About the Role
You'll be part of a cross-functional design and innovation environment within the automotive industry.
The role encompasses both interior and exterior vehicle lighting.
You'll collaborate closely with designers, UX specialists, materials experts, and engineers.
What You'll Do
Develop light concepts for ambient, functional, and communicative lighting.
Integrate lighting solutions into vehicle forms, surfaces, joints, and materials.
Evaluate light effects, integration, and feasibility through visualization, simulation, and VR.
Build and validate prototypes together with internal teams and external suppliers.
Present design intention and concepts to relevant stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
Higher education in industrial, product, transportation, interaction, or light design, or equivalent.
At least five years of experience in light design within the automotive industry or related fields.
A strong portfolio demonstrating the development of lighting concepts and design solutions.
Ability to translate concepts into technically and manufacturably feasible solutions.
Practical experience in prototype development and fundamental understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
Technology & Tools
Tools for light design and visualization.
Light simulation and VR for concept validation.
Rapid prototyping.
Knowledge of regulations and constraints for vehicle lighting is a plus.

Location: Gothenburg.
Work Style: Hybrid, with the office as the primary workplace and some opportunity for remote work.
