About the Workplace: Bålsta Optik & EyeClinic is an established optometry practice and eye clinic with a contract with Region Uppsala. Here you'll meet both customers looking to have their vision tested and obtain glasses/contact lenses, as well as patients visiting the ophthalmologist. We work in a modern clinic with access to advanced equipment and offer a broad spectrum of eye health services. Job Responsibilities: As an optometrist with us, you'll have a varied role working both in the shop and in close collaboration with the ophthalmologist. You will: Perform vision tests and contact lens fittings Advise customers about glasses and contact lenses Participate in patient flows related to the ophthalmologist's practice We offer professional eye care in one location in close collaboration with experienced ophthalmologists. At our clinic, patients can receive treatment for various eye conditions, such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), diabetes-related eye changes, glaucoma, cataracts, and pediatric eye diseases. We also offer advanced examinations and treatments, including fundus photography, cataract assessments, glaucoma monitoring with visual field testing (Humphrey), as well as laser treatments such as YAG laser for posterior capsular opacification and SLT for glaucoma.
