Description Skaftö School is a rural school located on the beautiful island of Skaftö in Lysekil Municipality. At Skaftö School, we have grades K-6 with approximately 50 students. Because the school is small, we work with an age-integrated approach so that children and staff develop a sense of community. Job Responsibilities We are seeking a teacher for our primary level. A small part of the position will involve work in the after-school program. We work closely together across age groups and in all school activities. We are looking for a primary school teacher with certification for grades K-3 or other pedagogical education that we consider equivalent. It is important to us that you can both work independently and collaborate with other colleagues at the school. We are looking for someone with strong ability to plan and organize with your colleagues while being flexible and able to adapt to daily circumstances. We are seeking someone with a clear pedagogical approach and a holistic perspective on students to stimulate their social development and learning. The school is characterized by the belief that all students are capable of development and that a good environment promotes this. All students should develop to the best of their ability according to their own potential. Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a licensed teacher, has strong ability to develop good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, feels confident in your leadership with a focus on student safety, well-being, and academic engagement, teaches with clear purpose and goals and uses good variety in instruction, prioritizes collaboration and at the same time easily works independently, thrives in a developmental and flexible workplace.
