About You Are you interested in trying out infectious disease medicine as a specialty? We are seeking a licensed physician for a temporary position from December 2026 until August 2027 at the latest. You have a genuine interest in infectious diseases. Experience with the Cosmic medical records system is a merit, and we would appreciate if you hold a valid driver's license. As a person, you are positive, responsible, and confident in your professional role. You work well with others and contribute to a good collaborative climate. You can plan and prioritize your work and adapt when circumstances change. The work can periodically be fast-paced. Therefore, you need to be flexible and maintain professional conduct even in pressured situations. You are empathetic, service-oriented, and treat both patients and colleagues respectfully. You will receive a customized introduction tailored to your experience. You will primarily work with inpatients in the Infectious Diseases Clinic's ward. The position also includes outpatient clinic work and on-call duties. During on-call shifts, you will be responsible, with good support from the backup on-call physician, for the ward's patients and provide medical consultation to other departments. The Infectious Diseases Clinic is based in Jönköping and serves as the county's knowledge center for infectious diseases. The clinic consists of a care unit with 24 beds, a specialist outpatient clinic, and extensive consultation and advisory services provided in Eksjö, Jönköping, and Värnamo. Currently, a pilot program for hospital care at home is also in operation, offering patients the option to receive parts of their antibiotic treatment at home. The clinic is characterized by motivated staff working in teams and collectively striving for a good collaborative climate.
