About Us Närhälsan Torslanda Health Center is a well-functioning workplace with competent staff and satisfied patients. We handle everything from preventive health work to acute care. Today, we have approximately 50 employees from various professions working at the health center, and we have around 17,450 registered patients of all ages—all equally important to us. The health center offers physician consultations, lab testing, district nurse consultations, child health services, and clinics for diabetes, asthma/COPD, smoking cessation, hypertension, and elderly and dementia care. We have a rehabilitation coordinator and care planning nurse, as well as a psychosocial team consisting of a psychologist, social worker, and care coordinator. We work closely with the municipality and are responsible for physicians in municipal housing facilities and for patients receiving home healthcare. We actively work to develop our operations through continuous improvements where everyone participates. We therefore hold frequent team meetings and professional meetings where we collectively work on and follow up ongoing work and projects. You work independently and alternately with clinic duties. Mentoring is provided by an experienced specialist who gives you support and knowledge exchange. About You You are a licensed physician with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare and have an interest in regional primary care and conducting specialist training (ST) in general medicine. You have knowledge of the Swedish language at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. We are looking for someone who is attentive and has good patient relations, as you will meet many different patients at the health center. You enjoy teamwork and it is natural for you to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in your work. Other Information Interviews at the unit are conducted continuously during the application period. This position is a 6-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension and specialist training (ST). For those trained as physicians abroad who have not completed AT (basic medical training) in Sweden to obtain physician licensure, you are subject to new regulations regarding Base Service (Bastjänstgöring) from July 1, 2021. Base Service for physicians (BT) is a mandatory introductory part of specialist training in the new ST-2021 regulation (HSLF-FS 2021:8).
