In 2027, we will move into our new state-of-the-art animal hospital with a completely new rehabilitation department. At AniCura Kalmarsunds Animal Hospital, dedicated colleagues work in fields including orthopedics, neurology, surgery, dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, and reproduction. We offer advanced diagnostics with both CT and MRI, have a 24-hour inpatient care ward, and an emergency clinic open daily from 08:00–22:00. Our modern facilities and well-equipped rehabilitation department provide the best conditions for offering high-quality rehabilitation and care. We are now seeking a licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist who wants to help further develop our rehabilitation services and work closely with our orthopedic team. About the Role As a physiotherapist with us, you will have a central role in the rehabilitation of our patients. You will work with stimulating and varied cases, primarily orthopedic patients, but also neurological patients and wellness patients. You will work independently with your own patients, where you are responsible for examination, assessment, treatment, and developing individual rehabilitation plans. We work primarily with rehabilitation focusing on mobility, balance, and strength training. In our rehabilitation department, you have access to modern equipment such as: • Water treadmill (WTM) • Balance and training equipment • Vibration plate • Therapeutic laser You will also work closely with our veterinarians, especially in orthopedics, where you contribute the physiotherapy perspective in the assessment and treatment of patients with, for example, lameness issues. On the care ward, you are responsible for assessment and treatment of hospitalized patients and support pet owners with instructions and rehabilitation plans before discharge. Who Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone who is a licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist with a genuine interest in dogs and cats. You are comfortable working independently and taking significant responsibility, while also appreciating close collaboration with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other colleagues. You are confident in your professional role, solution-oriented, and have the ability to adapt to different situations and patient needs. We would like to see that you: • Are a licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist. • Have extensive experience working with animals and feel comfortable handling dogs and cats. • Have good communication skills. • Are initiative-taking, driven, and curious about developing yourself. • Value collaboration and contribute to a positive work environment. • Are passionate about providing the best possible service to both patients and pet owners. It is advantageous if you: • Are approved by Jordbruksverket for work in animal health and veterinary care. • Have experience with rehabilitation in small animal care or previous work at an animal hospital or animal clinic.
