Description
Are you a licensed physical therapist and would you like to work in an operation where you have great personal responsibility, close collaboration with colleagues, and the opportunity to influence the future of rehabilitation? Then this position in Älvkarleby Municipality might be for you.
Our rehabilitation unit is facing an exciting development journey. During the fall, we will implement the MAR function and introduce a new way of working where the physical therapist and occupational therapist work together as a team.
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of developing the operation, contribute new ideas, and create good conditions for person-centered rehabilitation of high quality.
About the Position
As a physical therapist, you work together with an occupational therapist where you jointly take responsibility for daily rehabilitation work. The new way of working is part of a development project that provides an opportunity to influence how rehabilitation is organized and conducted going forward.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently, takes own initiatives, and at the same time sees the value of close collaboration with other professions.
About the Workplace
The rehabilitation unit, together with the municipality's nurses, is part of the Health and Healthcare Unit. Here work three licensed occupational therapists, three physical therapists, and a rehabilitation assistant.
We are located in shared and well-adapted facilities with spacious offices, assistive device storage, and reconditioning spaces. The facilities are located in the municipality's care and service residence, which also includes a café, training kitchen, gym, and a newly opened sunroom.
With us, you have close contact with both the operation and decision-makers. You collaborate with colleagues from your own unit as well as with nurses, care personnel, managers, and planning coordinators to together create safe and individualized care.
The path from idea to decision is short, which provides great opportunities to influence the development of the operation.

Work Tasks
As a physical therapist, you have a central role in promoting health, activity, and independence among the municipality's residents.
Your work tasks include, among others:
physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and follow-up
prescribing and fitting of assistive devices
health promotion and preventive measures
collaboration with other professions based on a person-centered approach
education for patients, family members, and staff
You will also be an important part of implementing and developing our new way of working.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who
is a licensed physical therapist/physiotherapist
has a B-class driver's license
It is meritorious if you have previous experience from municipal rehabilitation.
