The Health and Care Unit is now seeking licensed physical therapists who want to work with us. The unit consists of multiprofessional teams where nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nursing assistants work together. Together we currently have 75 employees. Leadership is shared by two unit managers. The assignment includes care ranging from home healthcare, dementia care, rehabilitation and assistive devices to care and support for people in care and residential facilities. This also includes housing with special services, day activities, service housing, personal assistance, or people receiving help through social psychiatry. We are looking for a physical therapist with placement in specialized housing. We have good cohesion with excellent collaboration where we work together—nurses, nursing assistants, and rehabilitation staff. No questions are strange or wrong. We work without ego and pull in the same direction. You will have freedom with responsibility and the opportunity to influence your work and internal work methods. The position is placed within the Care and Social Services Department, one of Mjölby Municipality's six departments with a clear mission—we exist for people. WORK TASKS As a physical therapist, you are responsible for providing safe and secure care based on the municipality's health and care assignment. Health and care services shall be performed in accordance with applicable regulations and other governing documents for health and care. You provide person-centered care and collaborate with other professions and stakeholders. Habilitation and rehabilitation are the specific expertise of you and your colleagues. Physical therapy is a knowledge and professional field, and these are integrated with each other. The knowledge area of physiotherapy and physical therapy science is characterized by a view of humans as physical, mental, social, and existential beings in a health perspective. As a physical therapist, you work with movement as the primary means to promote health and reduce illness when a person's health is limited or threatened by disease, injury, age, and environmental factors. The process is based on current evidence and is carried out in collaboration with the client, any relatives, and other professional groups. In your role, you are well versed in the threshold principle and prioritization order. Work takes place in ordinary housing, specialized housing, short-term activities, and day activities. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who have: • a university degree in physical therapy and licensure in the profession • socioeconomic thinking in planning and execution It is a merit if you have: • relevant further education in the field • experience in the profession As a physical therapist, you work independently and solution-focused with responsibility for both your own and the organization's development. You contribute with engagement, create clarity around goals and direction, and support and motivate colleagues in their work and development.
