District Veterinarians is part of the Swedish Board of Agriculture. Here at District Veterinarians Sjöbo/Österlen, 10 veterinarians and 3 animal care assistants work together. We have a small animal clinic and we also make house calls to horses and farm animals. The small animal clinic is located in the heart of Österlen in the town square of Tomelilla. The clinic is equipped with everything needed, and our veterinarians provide advanced care and dental services. We work as a team, and for us it's important to enjoy work! 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES As a licensed veterinary technician with us, you will work in our small animal clinic staffed by veterinarians and nurses Monday through Friday. You will work clinically, both independently with tasks such as vaccinations and other duties together with a veterinarian or colleague. Anesthesia is an important part of working with patients in both dental and surgical care. Responsibilities may also include staffing the reception desk, answering phones with advice and scheduling, nutrition guidance, and sales. Other clinic tasks such as hygiene, instrument and facility care, and administrative duties are part of daily work. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a licensed veterinary technician; if you have experience, that is an asset. If you are a level 3 animal care assistant with good experience especially in anesthesia, that could also be relevant, in which case experience is a requirement. You must have a valid driver's license as you may need to drive for work. Further, we need someone who is organized and stable in your everyday work, which can become both varied and stressful. We work closely together, which means you must be very good at collaborating with colleagues. In our event-driven operations, you also need strong problem-solving skills to handle questions that arise quickly.
