In Perstorp, you will have the opportunity to develop your breadth of knowledge within municipal operations as you work in both special housing, ordinary housing, and LSS/psychiatry. Here you have the prerequisites to put your stamp on how you want to work as an occupational therapist, and you can be part of the challenging journey that municipal operations are facing with more advanced healthcare at home and work with good and accessible care.
The Rehab Group, who are your closest colleagues, consists of 2 physiotherapists, 3 occupational therapists, and 2 rehabilitation assistants.
Job Duties
As an occupational therapist with us in Perstorp, you work to enable individuals to live as independently as possible. You share overall rehabilitation responsibility with the physiotherapist. You conduct assessments, training, evaluation, and follow-up, as well as testing and monitoring of technical aids based on the occupational therapist's prescription authority. The work also includes informing, instructing, and guiding staff, patients, and relatives regarding rehabilitation and preventive measures. You will be involved in assisting and teaching in our transfer training for care personnel.
You will work with quality registers such as BPSD, Senior Alert, and Perstorp has for the second consecutive year been designated a Gold Municipality regarding Senior Alert work at residential care facilities.
Since Perstorp is a smaller municipality, work includes special housing, home healthcare, LSS, and social psychiatry. Close collaboration occurs with other professions, team-based work, and work with discharges and planning based on "My Plans" when patients are discharged from inpatient care.
Weekend work may occur on certain weekends and holidays when it involves monitoring patients admitted to the hospital who may be discharged on weekends.
Documentation takes place in the LifeCare system.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. It is advantageous if you have previous experience with municipal primary care.
The assignment also requires that you have the ability to independently plan and organize your work while collaborating well with other functions both internally and externally. You need to be flexible as work tasks can vary. We see that you have a genuine interest and commitment to working with people, you enjoy and are stimulated by challenges, and you place great emphasis on good conduct.
