Scope: 40% with good opportunity for expansion Employment type: Permanent position Location: Gothenburg About the role We are seeking a licensed psychologist to Gothenburg who wants to combine neuropsychiatric work with active CBT treatment. The position is initially 40% + extra hours as needed, with good opportunity for relatively quick expansion of the permanent part. We are a rapidly developing operation with a growing patient base. Our previous psychology services have expanded in scope, and for the right person, our ambition is for this position to develop toward full-time as well. We are looking for someone with a solid clinical foundation in CBT and basic experience in neuropsychiatric work. You do not need to be an expert in these areas. What matters more is that you have relevant prior knowledge, a strong interest in both CBT and neuropsychiatry, and a clear desire to develop. Work is conducted both digitally and in-person. We already have patients in Gothenburg and currently conduct physical visits and testing through psychologists who travel to the city. Now we want to establish a psychologist who can be present in Gothenburg more continuously. This position should not be viewed as a remote role. Afobia Afobia is a private clinic that since 2016 has worked with evidence-based treatment of specific phobias and various forms of social anxiety. We treat both children from age 6 and adults. Exposure, particularly in vivo, is a central part of the work. Treatment therefore does not always take place in a therapy room. We accompany the patient into situations that trigger fear and work with it where it actually occurs. This can, for example, involve work with live animals, driving, public transportation, heights, or flying together with a patient. You therefore need to be comfortable with practical and mobile clinical work and be prepared to follow patients outside the clinic when treatment requires it. Our patients actively seek out Afobia for this type of treatment, which provides good conditions for focused clinical work. Work is conducted based on shared assessment and treatment processes as well as systems for continuous follow-up of treatment results and patient satisfaction. You will have access to structured clinical routines, treatment materials, and regular supervision. You are expected to progressively work independently but do not need to develop treatment protocols from scratch. Amedo Amedo was founded in 2021 and works exclusively with adults. The operation focuses on assessment and treatment of ADHD and autism. Work is largely conducted digitally with in-person visits as needed. For psychologists, in-person visits primarily consist of ability testing as part of neuropsychiatric assessments. Work includes: Neuropsychiatric assessments of adults Psychological treatment for ADHD and autism, primarily CBT Digital assessment, diagnostic, and treatment visits Ability testing in Gothenburg Collaboration with specialist psychiatrists and psychiatric nurses After completed assessment, Amedo offers both medication treatment and psychological treatment. This provides the opportunity to follow patients further even after the assessment is completed. At Amedo as well, we work based on clear shared processes. Psychologists, specialist psychiatrists, and psychiatric nurses work together around patients. Initially, a significant part of the position may consist of work within Amedo. In parallel, we are building on Afobia's local operations in Gothenburg. The distribution between the two operations may therefore change over time, and a larger portion of the work may gradually be conducted locally. What we offer You will have a varied clinical role where you can develop within both exposure-based CBT and neuropsychiatry while helping to build our operations in Gothenburg. You will receive regular supervision and work closely with Operations Manager Jonas Evander, licensed psychologist, licensed psychotherapist, and specialist psychologist in psychological treatment, with extensive experience in exposure-based CBT and neuropsychiatric assessments. At 40%, there is great flexibility to arrange your schedule in dialogue with your employer and patients. At higher employment levels, we plan work, with few exceptions, based on a maximum of six patient hours per full day, with room for administration, documentation, and other clinical work. We are also developing other business areas focusing on CBT and exposure-based treatment. This could over time provide opportunities for broader clinical work. Requirements Licensed psychologist Solid foundational CBT knowledge Basic experience in neuropsychiatric work Interest in developing within both CBT and neuropsychiatry Willing to work digitally, at the clinic, and in the field Valid driver's license (Category B) Can conduct assessment and treatment in English if needed This is not a PTP position. Meritorious experience Experience with neuropsychiatric assessments of adults Experience with CBT for specific phobias or social anxiety Experience with exposure-based treatment Experience with psychological treatment for ADHD and autism Experience from private healthcare Interest in exposure-based treatment for, for example, OCD and PTSD Access to a reliable medium-sized or large dog that could if needed participate in exposure treatment Who we think you are You are empathetic and trustworthy and enjoy clinical patient work. You work in a structured manner but are also comfortable with work that sometimes means leaving the therapy room and conducting treatment where the patient's fear actually occurs. You thrive combining independent responsibility with close collaboration and shared clinical structures. You want to learn our working methods, take feedback to heart, and continue to develop within both CBT and neuropsychiatry. The role also suits you if you are relatively early in your career. What matters is that you have a solid clinical foundation, relevant prior knowledge, and a strong drive to continue developing.
