Licensed Psychologist for Child Team at Liljeholmen University Primary Care Center

Liljeholmen University Primary Care Center is now seeking an experienced licensed psychologist for our child team. Liljeholmen University Primary Care Center is part of the Academic Primary Care Center and provides care, education, development, and research in close collaboration with Karolinska Institutet and other actors within Region Stockholm. About the Position As a psychologist in the child team, you will work with assessment and treatment of children and youth with mild to moderate mental health issues. The work is carried out in collaboration with guardians, colleagues at the primary care center, and when needed, other actors around the child. You will become part of a psychosocial team with psychologists, psychotherapists, and a social worker. The position suits you if you want to work broadly in clinical practice, with both independence and collegial support, and if you thrive with primary care's broad and varied assignments. This is a temporary position for 1 year with the possibility of extension. Responsibilities The work includes, among other things: - Assessing and treating children and youth with mild to moderate mental health issues. - Conducting structured assessments, counseling, and shorter treatment interventions. - Working with guardian contacts, parental support, and psychoeducation. - When needed, collaborating with schools, child psychiatry services (BUP), and social services; documenting and following up interventions according to current procedures. The work may include both in-person visits and digital health contacts. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist with experience in clinical work with children, youth, and their families. You have a good ability to conduct psychological assessments, plan treatment interventions, and work independently within primary care's mission. You express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing, and you document in a structured and professional manner. Meritorious Qualifications It is meritorious if you have experience with: - Primary care, first-line psychiatry, or similar services for children and youth. - Assessment and treatment of anxiety, depression, stress, sleep difficulties, worry, or behavioral problems. - Parental support and family-focused work. - CBT and other evidence-based psychological methods for children and youth. - Group treatment and digital treatment interventions. Personal Qualities We are looking for you who have a warm, professional, and confidence-building demeanor. You enjoy working both independently and in a team, are confident in clinical assessments, and can adapt interventions based on the patient's and family's needs. You have good organizational skills, can prioritize in a varied patient flow, and contribute to a good collaborative climate. We value responsibility, flexibility, and a willingness to develop the business together with others. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. The position will be filled provided it does not need to be used for internal reallocation, according to current regulations. For patient-facing work within Stockholm County Health Care Area: - background checks are applied before employment decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks in employment. - employees who will have patient contact must undergo a new employee health examination, according to current directives, which is conducted by occupational health services before employment. - in addition to Swedish professional licensure, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required, corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
