District Veterinarians is part of the Swedish Board of Agriculture. We are seeking new colleagues for our newly renovated clinic featuring a newly built surgical department. We primarily have small animal and equine operations but also some large animal practice. The clinic is located beautifully in an old barn in Lyckeby just outside the lovely coastal town of Karlskrona. The clinic currently employs ten veterinarians, three certified animal nurses, and five animal care assistants. We are a cheerful team that works well together and helps each other in all situations. Karlskrona is built on islands and is a popular vacation destination in the summer. Our small animal clinic consists of a surgical department with gas anesthesia and dental X-ray, and a polyclinic with X-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, and a fully equipped laboratory. The equine clinic features an examination stocks, ultrasound, X-ray, endoscopy, and full dental equipment. We also have access to a riding arena. 1 position(s). DUTIES We are now seeking both a certified animal nurse and an animal care assistant for our team. With us, you will be an important part of the operations and work in a varied daily routine with dedicated colleagues who help each other as needed. Depending on your experience and qualifications, your duties may include anesthesia, polyclinic work, telephone advice, and reception work. You will work both in the polyclinic at the clinic with your own patients and as part of the team, as well as in anesthesia. In this role, you will also contribute to our work on care hygiene and take responsibility for parts of the daily hygiene work, such as cleaning, instrument care, and some facility maintenance. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a certified animal nurse or trained animal care assistant with experience in clinical work. You are an engaged and solution-oriented team player who supports and works for the team's best interests and toward common goals. You are accommodating and responsive in your interactions with our customers to give them a good experience with us. Working conditions can change quickly throughout the day, and you need to be able to make decisions and assess what best supports good workflow and efficiency. We are looking for someone with an interest in anesthesiology and good customer interactions. You have the desire and ambition to help develop our operations. Experience with both small animals and horses is a merit. B driver's license and Swedish proficiency in speech and writing are required for the position. Salary form: Monthly salary.
