Älvsbyn Municipality is now seeking an engaged and independent licensed occupational therapist for our wonderful rehabilitation team within primary care and home health and healthcare services. About the Position In your role as an occupational therapist in our municipal primary care and home health and healthcare services, your main task is to promote independence and quality of life for our patients in their own homes. You will primarily meet elderly people as well as people with physical, mental, or cognitive impairments. You work from the patient's own goals and use health-promoting and rehabilitative approaches. You are part of a supportive team with occupational therapists and physiotherapists, but also work closely with nurses, home care services, nursing assistants, and family members. Your main responsibilities: - Conduct activity, function, and environmental assessments in the patient's home environment. - Test, prescribe, and follow up on technical aids and devices. - Plan and initiate rehabilitative and everyday rehabilitation measures. - Assess the need for and write certificates for home modifications. - Guide and delegate rehabilitative measures to care personnel. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is confident in your profession, has a coaching approach, and puts the person's needs at the center. Since the work takes place in the person's home, you need to have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work days independently. Requirements for the Position: - Licensed occupational therapist. - Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. - B-class driver's license is required as travel is part of the job. Merits: - Experience working in municipal home healthcare or elderly care. - Experience with documentation in the Combine journal system.
